Lady Bug Coat

I made a special coat for Abigail Rose. It is fine wale cord that I got for a bargain at Jenny's in Fountain Valley. It is fully lined with bright red satin. I think the big red buttons really make it. The pattern is Simplicity 2876, it is a from there Project Runway line. It had a lot of pattern pieces but went together really well. I think she is going to look great for the holidays.
I really enjoyed making it!

Christmas at Tannerville

We got the Tannerville window decorated for Christmas! I turned the coat rack into a Christmas tree. I made 350 leaves and wired them onto a wire base. Yes! I am insane, but sometimes when you have a vision you just have to go with it. Every time I look at it I smile. I added the pair of birds because I have become a little obsessed with birds. Just wait for the spring window.

Thanksgiving Giving

These are the Thanksgiving Napkins I made for Helen (my MIL). I am very lucky to have a great MIL. I made her a dozen from some great Linen that Capril found down at SAS. You never know what you are going to find there, but you always now it will be a bargain. I monogrammed them on the Designer Diamond and finished the edges with the Wave Stitch on a new Babylock Serger. I am so in love with these sergers. They are amazing. The quickest and easiest threading you have ever seen. And perfect tension. I really gotta get me one! Santa can you hear me? I have been a very good girl this year!

Old Crow and the Harverst Moon

At the end of the Journey you are just an Old Crow! I read that somewhere and it kinda stuck with me. I love crows, well at least pictures of crows. I am not so crazy about the noise or mess they make. This crow was made using 4D Sketch. Sketch lets you create stitches to machine embroider as if you were sketching the stitches. I think is a really cool program. I just stitched it over a black peice of fabric and then cut away the excess.

Hush-a-Bye Three Ways!

I finally finished all three of my Hush-a-Bye quilts. I needed to make a baby gift and I loved these fabrics so much that I could not stop ordering and ended making three. I love all of them!
They will be hanging at Tannerville for the next few weeks if you want to take a peek in person.

I really like Tula Pink fabrics and will also be making 3 quilts from her Neptune line. I have most of the fabrics I need. Just not the time.
Time! All I need is Time! I used to laugh when the man across the street used to say that. Now, I know exactly what he meant. :-)

Fall into Tannerville

It has been a busy week. Capril and I got a fall window done. The pictures really don't do it justice. You need to come by and see it in person. A cool all wound up Cornucopia with some fabric veggies and we transformed the coat rack into a tree. I love the tree!

We are going to start working on the Christmas window this week. It is going to be fabulous, but you'll have to wait until after Thanksgiving.

Way Too Long!

Well its been way too long since I last posted. All week I have been waiting for one of my favorite blogs to update and getting kinda irked it hadn't. That is when it hit me I can't even post once a week, Wow! am I a hypocrite. Yikes! It has been 3 months, so I got out the camera to show you what I have been doing today. With the time change I got an early start. Today is going to be a good day!

Binding on 3 quilts. I've gotten it sewn on all 3 now I need to hand stitch it all down. Now you now what I will be working on every night. When they are all finished I will show you the finished product.
I have class samples to get started on but I am going to be posting at least once a week. That is my new goal.

A New Quilt Kit!

My new quilt kit arrived today! Yeah! Yeah! I know some of you are saying "A KIT, why a kit?" Well because it comes with 42 assorted pre-cut 2" strips of Amy Butler fabrics, and look at how cute it is in the bakery box. It looks absolutely delicious! I ordered it from http://www.shopquiltology.com/. They have great service. Check them out. Well I have a few other projects to get finished before I can start, but I will show you all the results I get it done. I am going to have to get better at taking pictures of all of the projects I work on and the classes I teach. This blogging is a learning experience.

WOW! I have a blog

How cool is that! With a few clicks I have my own blog. I can't wait to really get started, but unfortunately it will have to wait a day or two.

In the mean time my name is Lisa Ann and I love to quilt and sew and just about anything that has to do with fabric.
